Employee welfare, collaboration key in the national development: NWSC MD Silver Labour Day message

While celebrating the 2022 Labour Day that happened on Sunday 1st May 2022, The Managing Drectro National Water and sewerage Corporation (NWSC) Eng. Silver Mugisha highlighted he importance of maintaining the welfare of employees in order to increase their productivity.
He said that in addition to welfare there is a need to collaborate and improve terms with employees to enable them to contribute to national building
“Labour day celebration allows us to focus on areas like employee welfare in collaboration with union leadership to ensure labour productivity and personal development,” he said in his labour day message.
Eng. Silver added that in order to link with government expectations in NWSC, there is a need to collaborate with the government and focus on serving the customers.
The Engineer pictured above earlier in his speech said that NWSC is committed to continuous improvement and innovation to better service delivery in Uganda
“We believe in water for all for a delighted customer, by a delighted workforce. The workers have consistently raised the minimum wage issue” he said
He said under The Federation of Uganda Employers they are committed to advocating for a win-win labour situation, applauding the government of Uganda for setting the right priorities for the socio-economic transformation of Uganda.
