East Africa Pharmatech Exhibition 2022 commences at UMA for 3 days

The East Africa Pharmatech, a Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Exhibition is taking place from the 22nd - 24th March 2022 at the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) Show Grounds Lugogo, Kampala, Uganda. The exhibition according to organizers is a gateway to the East African Pharma, Medical & Healthcare Business Community in Uganda and a premier trade exhibition in the East Africa Region.

The exhibition organized by both Uganda and Indian partners is hosting over 150 exhibitors from Uganda and the East Africa region for 3 days is attracting medical practitioners and other service providers.

During the launch of the exhibition on 22nd March 2022 at UMA, The Ministry of Health asked Ugandans to start procuring and consuming locally made products and asked multinationals to locate and set up their production units in Uganda.

The permanent secretary ministry of Health Dr Diana Atwine pictured above made the remarks while presiding over the opening ceremony of the first East Africa Pharma-tech, a Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Exhibition taking place at the Uganda Manufacturers Association showground Kampala

Flanked by India's High commission to Uganda Shri A. Ajay Kumar ,Dr Diana Atwine said local pharmaceuticals have played a great role in producing medicines that have saved lives, especially during the two year lockdown where many countries had stopped exporting their medicine because they had to supply their populations that needed medicine.

Exhibitors from around 6-8 countries are participating in this exhibition looking at exploring the untapped potential of the East Africa Market. The three-day event is expected to conclude on the 24th March 2022.

 

The event is hosting Medical Professionals, Pharmacies, Hospitals, Health Organizations, Importers & Exporters, Decision Makers, and Medical Practitioners of the East African Region in Uganda. Exhibitors from around 6-8 countries are participating in this exhibition looking to explore the untapped potential of the East Africa Market.

 

East Africa Pharmatech have a  participation of more than 150 exhibitors with the total area occupied by them being around 3000 sqm. More than 5000 visitors from Uganda and the East African Region will be attending the exhibition during the three days. Medical Conferences and Seminars will also be a part of the exhibition.

 

East Africa Pharmatech is one of the premium shows under the East Africa Exhibitions banner. It is held concurrently with the East Africa Agritech and the East Africa Pack & Agritech exhibitions.

The exhibition is supported by UMA, organized by 3S Fairs who are based in New Delhi, India, supported by the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda while the Indian Pavilion is organized by FICC.
