Blu*3 singer Lilian Mbabazi reflects performing at AFCON opening ceremony with 2Face

Lilian Mbabazi opened up about the most remarkable moment that she experienced as a Blu*3 singer in the early stages of their music career.

She shared that performing at the opening ceremony of the AFCON finals, held in Ghana in the early 2000s, is always still as fresh in her mind.

The “Vitamin” singer recalls that moment vividly since she landed the chance to rub shoulders with African giants such 2Face Idibia when his timeless hit song “African Queen” was still rocking.

She noted that the experience was sweet and that she had the opportunity to meet the legendary top-tier football stars of the time.

I think one of the best times I remember was us performing at the opening ceremony of the AFCON finals in Ghana.

We were on that stage with 2 Face. That time he was doing his hit song “African Queen”. So Blu*3 was one of the opening acts, and it was wild. That is when I met all those footballers. It was so nice.

Lilian Mbabazi further noted that the invitation to perform at the AFCON opening ceremony opened several opportunities in their music careers.
