Gerald Olipa (61) again anchored things at the top of the order with his second consecutive half-century with the support coming from Paul Mulongo (62), Conrad Lubwama (82) and Ronald Magezi (40) in a composed batting display from the hosts.

In the run chase, Rwanda was pegged back by the slow bowlers. Ali Balidawa (1/17), Tandia Aziz (2/25) and Richard Sohera (3/6) picked up the wickets as the visitors tried to catch down a big total.
