ALGEDRA COMPLETES GRAND ROMAN-STYLE PALACE IN AL MAMZAR, DUBAI

Spanning 3,900 square metres, the residence draws on classical Roman architectural language — colonnaded facades, symmetrical massing, and richly layered interiors — to produce one of the firm's most ambitious residential commissions to date.

The project was delivered entirely in-house, from the first site visit on a vacant plot through authority approvals, 3D exterior and interior rendering, detailed construction drawings, materials specification, and full fit-out to handover. Engaging Algedra from the outset allowed the design team to align the architectural language of the building's shell with the interior concept from the start, ensuring every detail — structural proportions, ceiling heights, material finishes, and decorative treatments — reads as a single, coherent vision rather than two separate projects joined at a later stage.

That continuity of process is a defining feature of how Algedra operates. When the same team holds responsibility for architecture, interiors, and fit-out simultaneously, design decisions made early in the project carry through without loss of intent. Ceiling heights set at the structural stage inform the scale of custom millwork. Facade proportions guide the rhythm of interior columns and archways. The classical Roman theme — selected by the client at the outset — informed every layer of the design, from the symmetry of the exterior facade and the arrangement of colonnaded entrance features to the interior's high coffered ceilings, ornamental columns, and bespoke decorative treatments. Material palettes draw from European marble, carved stone, and decorative metalwork consistent with the Roman classical tradition, applied across principal reception areas, formal entertaining spaces, and private residential quarters.

The completed residence stands as a marker of what is achievable when a client engages a single firm across the full project lifecycle.
