2025 USSSA Teso Zone football championship reaches exciting final bend

2025 USSSA Teso Zone Football Championships:

Semi-finals (Monday, 14^th April):

Boys:

• Amus College Vs Bukedea Comprehensive School South – Boma Grounds (8:30 am)
• Ngora High Vs Labira Girls SS – Maraka Field 1 (8:30 am)

Girls:

• Amus College School Vs Kobuin Seed School – Maraka Field 2 (8:30 am)
• Olila High School Vs Bukedea Comprehensive – Mary Machees playground (8:30 am)

The 2025 USSSA Teso zone football competition for both boys and girls has reached an interesting final bend.

With the group stages and quarter finals completed on Sunday, 13^th April, the last four stage (semi-finals) will be held on Monday.

The boys’ semi-final match ups have Amus College School against rivals Bukedea Comprehensive School South at the Boma Grounds.

Amus College School had defeated TEPA 2-0 in the quarter-finals whilst Bukedea Comprehensive School South smiled past a 10-man Wiggins SS 1-0.

Team captain Godfrey Ssekibengo scored for Bukedea Comprehensive School.

At the same time, Ngora High shall face off Labira Girls SS at the Maraka Field 1 in the other boys’ semi-finals.

Ngora High overcame Amuria High School 2-1 and Labira Girls out-shot Bukedea Comprehensive North 4-3 in the tense shoot-out after normal time had ended goal-less.

Girls:

In the girls’ semi-finals, Amus College School faces Kobuin Seed School at the Maraka Field 2.

Amus College School out-muscled Kongunga High School 2-0 at the quarter final stage as Kobuin Seed School won 1-0 against Bishop Maraka School.

Meanwhile, Olila High School will square up against Bukedea Comprehensive at Mary Machees playground.

Olila High School won 3-0 over Serere SS with Bukedea Comprehensive School overcoming Labira Girls 1-0.

All the four semi-finalists per sex earned their slots at the nationals that will be played in May 2025 at Ngora (for the boys) and Bukedea Comprehensive (for girls).

Teso region has come of age and remains one of the most competitive zones of Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA).
