UICT set to host inaugural 3-day New Vision education expo

Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT), Nakawa from January 27th -29th 2023 will host the inaugural education expo organized by Vision group together with other partners including Stanbic Bank, Ministry of Education and sports, National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA), among others.
The New Vision Education Expo 2023 with support from State House’s Skilling Program is organized under the theme: “Where education and the world of employment meet, to drive home the linkage between education and employment”
Don Wanyama the Chief Executive Officer of Vision Group while launching the expo at the New Vision offices on Thursday 19th January 2023, said that the expo which is expected to attract over 5,000 participants will showcase Uganda’s education sector opportunities for people to utilize at a modest entry fee of 10,000 Shillings by the public.
“It’s going to be a great learning experience, there’s going to be so much to showcase, there’s also going to be networking and other things. The gates will be open from 8:00AM to 8:00PM. The Education Expo will showcase what Uganda has to offer in the education industry so come and learn as we start the academic year for the local curriculum” he said
The Principal of UICT, Dr. Fredrick Edward Kitoogo, in above picture, while applauding New Vision Group for the partnership to host the Expo said UICT will be providing ICT training to participants during the event in addition to other technology services.
“As we share expertise, ideas, services, and technologies, participants will learn more about leveraging ICT for employment. So we urge the general public, as well as other stakeholders parents, and students to attend the expo” he said

They also offer high-quality market driven ICT skills-based programs. It’s a public tertiary institution under the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance and is managed and managed by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
