Transform Cadres Association Uganda members to hold General Assembly to address Executive Leadership Vacuum.

Following the resignation of the Transform Cadres Association Uganda (TCAU) President Adupa Ongwech Felix, the leadership of TCAU has been left with a leadership vacuum that has crippled the operations of the association.
This has led to massive member concerns spearheaded by The coordinator of TCAU Afande Magufuri Mugisha who has resorted to a legal firm to call for action to address the issue.
The Coordinator Afande Magufuri in his letter to the association members that raised concern on the delayed vacant position of the presidency, also called for a general meeting failure of which will lead to legal action.
“In reference, to the letter by the resignation of the former TCAU President (Felix Ongwech Adupa) dated 12th January 2024, together with the letter from the legal firm of Tumusiime, Irumba and Co Advocates (TIAM) of intention to sue the Secretary General of TCAU (Kyambadde Baker Mande) dated 26th February 2024, no communication has been made to members of officially update them on the impasse.” it partly reads.

The coordinator further called for a general assembly to address the leadership vacuum to avoid more damage to the operations of the association.
“This has created animosity and a vacuum In the TCAU executive leadership. With this state of affairs, therefore, I am left with no option but to call for the members’ intervention since article 6(d) of our TCAU constitution has been abused” he said
In the letter dated 26th February 2024, from the legal firm M/s Tumusiime, Irumba & Co. Advocates, to the Secretary-General, acting on behalf of the members of the association that because of lack of effort to address the matter after a series of follow-ups, a general meeting be conducted to allow voting of a new President.
“We hereby request on instructions of our client that you henceforth immediately call for a general meeting so that the association members can vote a substantive president of the association and also resolve the matters affecting the association failure of which we shall not hesitate to institute a civil court action against you at your own cost and peril” it partly reads.
Transform Cadres Association Uganda (TCAU) is a member-led organization formed to foster social and economic collaboration and partnership among the members to help them heal from economic and legal challenges suffered as a result of the poorly organized 2020 primary elections of the NRM and create a platform where members can share ideas on how to equip themselves financially and to enforce electoral reforms within the NRM party in their primary elections.
