Namilyango College 10 year Strategic plan good for the college’s future education journey

Strategic plans for educational institutions should be supported such that they achieve their set goals and objectives.
The remarks have been made by the Namilyango College chairman board of governors Fr. Dr. Joachim Mugalu during an exclusive interview with this website explains that it was important that all stakeholders do support the effective implementation of their 10 -year strategic plan 2023/2033.
He observed that the college set development agenda cannot achieve its set goals and objectives unless stakeholders’ foster joint collaboration collectively support efforts of implementing the plan as enshrined in the college vision and mission Bible.
The objectives of this strategic plan include offering high quality education based on Catholic values and principles, and expanding the capacity of the existing educational and accommodation structures.
Others are to renovate and update the aged infrastructure as well as to enhance the ICT resources and facilities to match the needs of a Modern College.
‘It is our hope that the actualization of these goals will enhance the realization and perpetuation of the College Mission which is to provide Education for Responsibility’ Dr Mugalu noted.
He pointed out that the New Curriculum, which was recently introduced by the Ministry of Education is an ideal tool for enhancing the creative and hence productive capacity of the young population in the educational institutions.
The College who’s Alumni has been and are resourceful members of society, is continuously aware of the obligation of adequately empowering the young learners so that they may be future agents of hope.
He commended the archbishop of Kampala archdiocese Dr. Paul Ssemogerere for accepting to grace at the college’s 123 year mass which happened 22 March 2025 at which he preached for peace, tranquility, hard work and unity among all the people, noting that the messages was well taken by the stakeholders present including students, parents, the Alumni and friends of the college alike.

Mugalu also thanked the government through the chief guest of the day Col [Rtd] Tom Butime the minister of tourism wildlife and Antiquities for honoring their invitation saying the college would continue to work with all stakeholders both within government and private sector to ensure that they delivered quality education to the student population.
