League of East African Directors unveils sponsors for 2024 Convention.
The leadership of the League of East African Directors (LEAD) felt compelled to create a platform through which its members, partners, and leaders from different backgrounds and expertise can meet, discuss and distill concepts, ideas, and narratives that can be applied in the respective leadership contexts and areas of influence. The current LEAD membership comprises both leading institutions and both serving and aspiring Board members – from across the East African region and other parts of the globe.
In preparation for the 3rd Convention of The League of East African Directors (LEAD) sponsors have been unveiled to support the efforts of the organizers of the event scheduled to take place on 25th July 2024 at Sheraton.
Among the sponsors hey include: Centenary Bank, NCBA Bank Uganda, The New Vision Group, among others.
The theme of the convention is: “Boards of the Future: Fostering Resilience in an Uncertain World”
This was revealed during a press conference held on Mondy 15th July 2024 at the Sheraton hotel where The Chairperson of LEAD Ms. Phiona Wall, highlighted that the League of East African Directors (LEAD ) is committed to ensuring that corporations & businesses are well led to build resilience for Boards.
Ms Wall said that there is “need for the Media to join us in the spotlighting of good governance rather than only focusing on the bad, as a way of marketing and streamlining good governance in East Africa”
While applauding the support of on of the sponsors said that Centenary bank has support the convention for the last 8 year.
“Centenary Bank has been with us for over 8 years supporting every effort that we make,” she said.
NCBA Bank hands over the dummy cheaque worth UGX 16 MMillion
