Friday March 29th, 2024 – 4pm

  • Kitara vs BUL – Masindi Municipal stadium
  • Wakiso Giants vs NEC – Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso

Kitara could open a seven-point gap between them and BUL but must beat Abbey Kikomeko’s men in the top of the table clash at Masindi on Friday.

The hosts come into the game in fine form with 43 points and unbeaten matches since a shock 2-1 defeat at Busoga United on 2nd January.

This is contrary to BUL whose form has slumped since the start of the second round as they have won just one game in eight matches and are winless in four successive matches.

Abbey Kikomeko is aware of what defeat could mean to his side’s title ambitions and promised to turn things around.

“The boys are in good shape,” he told the club website. “We have rectified our mistakes after losing our previous two games against SC Villa and UPDF, and I think our performance in tomorrow’s game will be totally different.

“Come rain or sunshine, we shall get the three points from Masindi.”

BUL are without suspended Gerald Ogweti, injured Douglas Muganga and Mathew Tayo Odong but have Nicholas Mwere and Walter Ochora available for selection after missing the last outing due to suspension and injury respectively.

The hosts who have dropped only five points at home so far have Frank Zaga and Brian Aheebwa return after they missed the 3-0 win over URA.

Hot Stat: Kitara has the most impressive home record in the division [P10, W8, D1, L1 25 points] while BUL has the best record on the road [P11, W5, D4, L2, 19 points]
