Summertime is truly a wonderful time of year. Festivals, picnics and family time…The heat means you need some shade and cool off with a cold drink. What could be better than sipping an iced tea as nice refreshment? Look at our four easy to made herbal iced teas recipes.

We share with you a new way to enjoy iced tea without all the refined sugar and preservatives that come in pre-made, bottled iced teas. It is fun to make your own ice tea and it is obviously healthier than ice tea from supermarkets. Herbal teas have also some health benefits to your body and they are a great replacement for soft drinks.

Morning Cleanse Ice Tea

Begin the day with this tea for a kick-start to your digestion system. This tea will help remove waste from your body.
1 spring of parsley
½ teaspoon of dried Dandelion Leaf
2 lemon slices
1 cm piece of ginger root, peeled and roughly chopped

Add cold water to the jug (till 2/3 full), herbs and allow to infuse. Then add ginger root, lemon slices and ice.

The Morning After the Night Before Ice Tea

Recover your balance and peace of mind after the party. If you feel a little bit sick after drinking alcohol, this tea will help you feel much better.
2 teaspoons of Milk Thistle Seeds Powder
1 teaspoon Stinging Nettle Leaf
1 teaspoon Marshmallow Root
½ teaspoon Siberian Ginseng
2 teaspoons Lemon Balm Leaf
¼ ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Add cold water to the jug (till 2/3 full), herbs and allow to infuse. You can add some ice and honey for taste.

Bright and Clear Skin Ice Tea

This refreshing tea will help to eliminate toxins for clearer, brighter skin.
1 teaspoon of Stinging Nettle Leaf
½ dried Burdock Root
1 teaspoon dried calendula
2 teaspoons dried cleavers
¼ teaspoon dried chopped orange peel

Add cold water to the jug (till 2/3 full), herbs and allow to infuse. Then add some ice, orange peel and enjoy.

Fruity Antioxidant Burst

2 teaspoons Elderberry Dried Fruit
1 teaspoon Hibiscus Flowers
1 teaspoon Hawthorn Flowers
½ teaspoon orange zest

Honey to taste Add cold water to the jug (till 2/3 full), flowers and fruits, and allow to infuse. Then add some ice, orange peel, and enjoy.


Remember to top all teas with ice & fresh fruit for extra flavor and prettiness. You can also freeze these teas in ice-cube trays and use them to flavor water or other cool drinks.
