Busoga United Football Club has petitioned Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) questioning the eligibility of Onduparaka’s captain Rashid Yakini.

Yakini wore shirt 13 as he captained the Caterpillars’ in their 2-1 home win over Busoga United on match day 21 of the FUFA Big League at the Aba Bet Green Light Stadium on Sunday, 13th April 2025.

Busoga United alleges that Yakini was ineligible to feature in this match having accumulated three cautions that warranted him to be sidelined.

During the match proper, Onduparaka scored through Junior Andama and Jimmy Oola as Yusuf Adam found Busoga United’s consolation.

The FUFA competitions department who are in charge of the FUFA Big League are yet to come up with an official statement.

Onduparaka has a new manager in Sadick Sempigi who had been unemployed since he was sacked by Lugazi this season.
