Frank Baine elevated in new changes at Uganda Prison Services

Frank Baine, after serving the Uganda Prison Services for the last 15 years as communications officer of the institution has been elevated by the Commissioner General of Prisons Dr Johnson Byabashaija to serve as Deputy Director in charge of corporate affairs and protocol in the Uganda Prisons services.

Announced on Friday, Baine who has recently been serving as Senior Commissioner of Prisons has now been elevated, Dr. Byabashaija has confirmed five directors in Uganda Prisons Services, all at the rank of Assistant Commissioner General of Prisons, including John Bosco Tumwebaze(administration),

 

Milton Tiyo correctional services), Robert Munanura(production and engineering), Hillary Bisanga(human resource management), and George Muge(corporate and cooperation affairs).

The Commissioner General of Prisons also appointed four deputy directors including Jude Tadeo Kaliisa Wilson Francis Magomu, Frank Mayanja Baine and Julius Aloka

Dr. Byabashaija appointed new deputy officers in charge of nine prisons around the country.

“These orders take immediate effect,” he said

Dr. Byabashaija recently said that he does not want to see scenarios where fights erupt over the top seat when he leaves but insisted, he wants to see a transition happen automatically.

Frank Baine, said that he is the longest-serving communications officer of the institution, where he has made success and met challenges as he executed his duties. He said that he over the years learned various skills on the job.
