“KIU has crossed borders and is a reflection of a true African University by establishing another KIU in Tanzania and another on the way in Kenya, the university has become one of the best private institutions we have in the country that has contributed to the human capital development of not only Ugandans, but also other neighboring countries like Somalia, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and many more, and bringing together both staff and students from over 23 countries around the World,” she said

Dr. Mouhammad Mpezamihingo, Vice Chancellor of KIU said that “with the current male graduates constituting 55% of the total, The university aims to increase the proportion of female graduates through strategic efforts. Today we are graduating 2,530 students. KIU is one of the very few institutions that allow everybody to graduate even when they still have a tuition balance. My message to you who are graduating today is to be kind, be generous to others, and in that way, we build strong bonds that will become meaningful later in life"

The Chairman Board of Trustees at KIU Dr Al Hajji Hassan Basajjabalaba pictured above said that the university is focusing on becoming number one in Uganda and the region through strategies like best human resource experts.

“The gap is narrowing, and I believe with the kind of staff we have, we can narrow the gap further in the next two years and have our university to be number one in Uganda. Members of KIU, you have got three people that you must learn from: Prof. Yunus Mgaya, Prof. Maud Kamatenesi, and Prof. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo. If am not mistaken, we have the best team in the region" he said
