Ykee Benda says the only artist that he can take advice from is Sheebah Karungi because she is the one who gave him a big platform that kickstarted his career.
Around 2016, Ykee Benda’s Farmer song gained popularity after Queen Karma remixed it, launching the self-styled Boy So Tender’s career.
Via TikTok, while responding to criticism from fellow artist Kabako about the ongoing issues of divisionism in the music industry, Ykee noted that he fears no one.
He said that despite respecting several artists in the industry, he is not obliged to bow to any of them except Sheebah!
“The only person who has the right to say something to me is Sheebah because she is the one who gave me the collaboration,” the Mpaka Records boss stated.
“For the rest, I just see you. I respect you but I don’t fear any of you, I hope you understand,” he added.
