Wembley Mo’s foundation faces funding challenges to foot school fees

Choreographer Wembley Mo has disclosed his expenditure on school fees for the children under his Wembley Mo Foundation.

The dancer featured in several music videos with his team says he forks out a hefty Shs27m per term to ensure the children attend school.

Wembley Mo takes care of hundreds of children and says he finds hard times especially when school is resuming as he struggles to foot the school expenses.

He adds that he has no permanent sponsors and everything comes from his sweat and that is why he always works hard to win bread for the kids.

He revealed that among the 300 children he has, only nine are sponsored and sometimes even the sponsorship doesn’t last long.

He is, however, grateful to several local stars including Gravity Omutujju who sometimes come through and sponsor some of his children.

Honestly speaking, I don’t have permanent sponsors as you may see with other NGOs. I strive on my own to foot the needs and school fees for children in my foundation. Sometimes there are good humantarians who pay me a visit and some artists like Gravity and donate to me.

Each term I spend Shs27m on school fees. I have 9 children who are being sponsored but the sponsors don’t stay long.
