Wakiso Giants vs BUL: Purple Sharks fight for survival in Kabaka Kyabaggu clash

Wakiso Giants lock horns with BUL at Kabaka Kyabaggu, Wakissha in a fixture they need to win to enhance their survival chances.

The Purple Sharks are in the bottom three with 19 points and understand that a win will put them within a point of Mbarara City who are the closest to dropping in the red zone from the safe sides as it stands.

In Bul, Steven Bengo’s men face a side aiming to preserve their unbeaten streak in the second round of the season and also try to cement third place especially after URA faltered at Kavumba in the 2-0 defeat to Police FC.

The visitors will be more like wounded lions after bitter elimination from the Stanbic Uganda Cup and full focus will be now to finish with highest possible points in the league but will do so minus sanctioned Walter Ochora and Nicholas Mwere for misconduct in the game against Kitara in the Uganda Cup.

They will be confident as they haven’t lost to Wakiso Giants in the last six meetings winning four including last season’s corresponding fixture which they won 3-0.

However, the hosts will believe they can cause an upset after holding Abbey Kikomeko’s men to a 1-1 draw in the first-round fixture.

In other matches on Saturday, KCCA will host Mbarara City under the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo floodlights while Kitara visit SC Villa at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
