Lugazi’s miserable start to life in the premier league continued on Thursday with a 1-0 defeat against UPDF at Bombo.

Andrew Samson Kigozi scored the only goal of the game in the 75th minute to hand the league’s newcomers their second defeat in as many games.

The visitors who came into the game on the back of a 3-0 home defeat to Kitara on match day one drop to the base of the 16-team table with zero points and no goals in two matches.

UPDF now second on the table with four points, two behind early pacesetters NEC who handed Kitara their first defeat at their new home in Butema.

Elsewhere, Milton Karisa scored a brace and Ghanaian Fumador Asiwome added the other as Vipers bounced from NEC defeat to beat Express 3-0 at Kitende.

The league continues on Friday with KCCA away to BUL, Maroons host Wakiso Giants, Bright Stars take on URA while Mbarara City host Police at Kakyeka.
