Uncle Mark resolves family’s concerns with SFC investigation

Media personality Uncle Mark visited the Special Forces Command (SFC) headquarters in Entebbe on May 20, accompanied by his brother Moses and Moses’ wife.

The visit came in the wake of serious allegations that Moses was tortured by security personnel during a presidential convoy operation several months ago.

The visit was marked by a three-hour closed-door meeting with SFC officials and members of the State House team.

Following the meeting, Mark took to X to express gratitude for the warm reception and confirmed that a resolution had been reached.

He stated that the parties agreed to support Moses’ family, address his medical needs, and offer comfort in the aftermath of the couple’s loss of their unborn baby.

The allegations first came to light when Mark published a letter on X, addressed to the Ministry of Defence, Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), and SFC.

In the letter, he described how Moses was intercepted during a presidential convoy movement while rushing home to assist his pregnant wife, who had suffered a bathroom accident. According to the account, after parking his motorcycle near a police post, Moses was allegedly beaten, forced into a car boot, and held for two days. He was released with visible injuries, including missing toenails.

Following the social media outcry, the SFC acknowledged the incident and announced an internal investigation. State House also released a statement confirming the seriousness of the allegations and pledged a full and transparent probe.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the brave men and women here —we did well!

Honored to have been warmly received at the SFC offices (@MODVA_UPDF ) in Entebbe. Moses, his wife, and I had a fruitful 3-hour discussion with the SFC and @StateHouseUg team.

We reached a wonderful agreement—one that will support his family in building a brighter future, address his health needs, and bring comfort after the loss of their precious unborn baby.
