Uganda’s Mixed Martial Artist Onama ascends inside 15 ranking after defeating Georgia’s Chikadze

Uganda’s prized Mixed Martial Artist David Onama defeated Giga Chikadze from Georgia via an unanimous points’ decision in a feather weight bout.

Onama won 29-28, 29-28 and 29-28 from all the judges in charge at the T-Mobile center in Kansas city, United States of America (USA).

The 30-year-old Onama further improved his fight record to 14-2-0 as Chikadze, 36, remains on 15-4-0.

This was one of the undercard fights during the main Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night of Ian Machado Garry versus Carols Prates (Machado won).

The fight was dubbed the “Tale of the Tape” and it helped Onama ascend in the feather weight rankings to 14^th and Chikadze dropped out of the top 15.

Alexander Volkanovski (champion) is the undisputed champion (27-4).

He is followed by Max Holloway (26-8), Diego Lopes (26-7), Illia Topuria (16-0), Yair Rodriguez (26-6) and Movsar Evloev (19-0) completed the top six.
