Ugandan singer Papa Cidy reveals LGBTQ Pride affiliation

Via his Facebook page on Wednesday, Ugandan singer Papa Cidy revealed being part of the LGBTQ Pride movement.

Papa Cidy, whose real name is Hamidu Sekyeru, wrote hinting at how he is tired of hiding and how it is time to come out.

In the same post, he tagged Pastor Kayanja and the Miracle Center Cathedral before adding the rainbow flag at the end.

“Am tired of hiding myself, it’s time to be out. Pastor Kayanja ebyaffe obimanyi. Miracle Center Cathedral,” the 38-year-old singer wrote.

For many, the revelation seems quite shocking and netizens have already started dissecting the information with diverging opinions.

Papa Cidy has been living in the diaspora for a couple of years now since leaving Uganda in search of greener pastures.
