Consumers Choice Award is an initiative in Uganda that recognizes business excellence annually by conducting a comprehensive and objective independent market research survey, to determine brand reputation, customer satisfaction and business excellence for the quality of their service

Under the Leadership of CEO Salim Bari, every year, the Consumer Choice Awards recognize business excellence and customer satisfaction among a variety of service providers across Uganda.

The 4th edition of the consumer choice awards that was held last weekend recognized various companies including manufacturers and service providers on the Uganda market and beyond was launched way back in may at a press conference, in picture below:

The consumer choice awards is the only organization in Uganda to recognize business excellence by conducting statistically a comprehensive and objective accurate independent market research survey, to determine brand reputation, customer satisfaction, and business excellence for the quality of their service, value, professionalism, and integrity.

During this year’s Consumer Awards ceremony held in Kampala the Prime Minister, The Right Ho Robinah Nabanja who was represented by Minister Muruli Mukasa at Gold Course hotel, told the business leaders present that companies operating in Uganda that need expansion and brand promotion will be given a hand to push them further in business.  

“Companies looking to expand their businesses will receive government support” she said

Hon Muruli Mukasa, the Minister of Public Service applauded The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) one of the winners for training skillful individuals with discipline which helped in boosting human resources hence building the economy of the country

Another award winner, African Queen Distributors took home the Best Distributor of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in Uganda award at this year’s Consumer Choice awards.

Mimi Immaculate, the African Queen marketing manager said distribution of premium fast-moving consumer Goods has been their priority for the last twenty-nine years.

“Over the years, we have been committed to developing our distribution channels to enable the efficient and effective supply of goods to our customers at an affordable price; we work closely with our multinational suppliers to ensure that we continue meeting the needs and expectations of our customers and engaging in the innovation of new product lines ranging from Stationery, Personal care, Home care, Foods and Beverages,” she said

She said that African Queen has a clearly defined Route To Market (RTM) strategy to deliver an effective and efficient model that provides them with a competitive advantage, which is a key facilitator to numeric and weighted distribution – for sustainable growth of the brands they distribute.

“In addition, we have a highly qualified and performing human resource under the stewardship of the MD Innocent Tibayeita aimed at ensuring both our suppliers and customers are satisfied at all times,” she noted.

On the side of The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) an academic winner, The University was awarded for best private university in Uganda.

Dr. Jamil Sserwanga, Vice Rector in charge of academics called upon consumers to support the education sector in order to develop Uganda’s economic status. The Academic Registrar, Dr. Halima Wakabi invited consumers to join all the university campuses to extend their studies in different academic programs.
