The Catholic Church appreciates Mugoya Agnes Namiro for boosting girl child education

WAKISO: The Archbishop of Kampala, Bishop Paul Semogerere, has commended the government for appreciating the hard work that female teachers do at their workstations, as more have exhibited a high degree of commitment to empowering the girl child through the provision of quality, all-around education.
Semogerere told reporters on the sidelines of the celebrations marking 83 years of for Trinity College Nabbingo recently.
He commended the government for rewarding Namiro for her outstanding performance in promoting the empowerment of the girl child through holistic education, which has enabled thousands of girls to access quality education as well as discipline under the Catholic Church's faith-based principles of humanism, integrity, and love for one another, among other entrenched norms.
‘As the church we soundly appreciate the government for its good policy of promoting outstanding educationalists not only the catholic church but across board, especially female teachers for supporting the empowerment of the girl child through a holistic education process which has given thousands of girls an opportunity to advance their educational careers’ he observed.
The college rewarded her with an assortment of gifts in appreciation of her services at the college and wished her well in her new posting as deputy head teacher in charge of academics at Namilyango College.
The college Chairperson Board of Governors, Rev. Fr. Dr. Joseph Mary Ssebunnya, said the college strongly appreciates the services Namiro rendered to the college 15 years ever since she joined them in 2009 as a mathematics and chemistry teacher before rising through the ranks like house master, assistant DOS and later DOS respectively.
Namiro in her brief remarks of appreciation, thanked the College Board for having given her the opportunity to serve the college and thanked all stakeholders for the support which led her to this new platform of leadership.
