St Noa Girls clinch silver, St Mary’s Kitende finish fourth | CAF Africa Schools Football Championship 2025

- Boys’ 3rd Place Playoff: Ghana 2-1 St Mary’s Kitende (Uganda)
It was excitement at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra as the 2025 CAF Africa Schools Football Championship concluded on Saturday, 26th April.
Uganda’s St Noa Girls School Zzana finished second and took silver after falling 2-0 to hosts Ghana in the final.
For finishing second at this championship, St Noa Girls Zzana earned silver medals and a trophy.
They will also receive sports infrastructure worth $200,000 as prize money in addition to what they received at the zonal qualifiers ($100,000).
On the other hand, St Mary’s Kitende lost 2-1 to Ghana in the boys’ third-place playoff.
Henry Muhozi had given St Mary’s Kitende the lead before Ghana latched a remarkable comeback.
The crowning ceremony was glamorous and befitting with a high-end guest list that included the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E John Mahama, who was the day’s chief guest.
Other dignitaries included CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku, CAF Executive Members, CECAFA President Wallace Karia and FUFA President Moses Hassim Magogo, among others.
Both St Noa Girls Zzana and St Mary’s Kitende embark on their return journeys back home and shall set foot at Entebbe International Airport on the evening of Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Girls:
- Top Scorer: Pulane Moloi (South Africa)
- Goalkeeper of the Tournament: Precious Akenguwie (Ghana)
- Player of the Tournament: Jennifer Awuku (Ghana)
- Fair Play Team: Morocco
Boys:
- Top Scorers: John Andor (Ghana) and Ingatus Cyril Acquah Hagan (Ghana)
- Player of the Tournament: Souleymane Commissaire Faye
- Goalkeeper of the Tournament: Rajabu Manyelezi (Tanzania)
- Fair Play Team: Tanzania
