Sport-S secured a hard-fought game one 3-1 victory against Nemostars in the National Volleyball League Playoffs Finals at Old Kampala on Sunday.

The two teams renewed their rivalry in this highly anticipated match, both vying for the league title. It was a closely contested game from the outset, with Sport-S narrowly winning the opening set 26-24.

Sport-S demonstrated their offensive prowess by recording ten more attacks than Nemostars (18-10), which helped them gain momentum to win the second set 25-19.

Although Sport-S appeared to be in control, Nemostars rallied to take the third set, thrilling the fans. Despite Nemostars’ strong performance in the fourth set, Sport-S ultimately triumphed.

With both teams tied at six league titles each, the competition remains fierce as they strive for a seventh championship.

In the women’s category, Sport-S Ladies delivered a commanding performance against KCB Nkumba Volleyball Club, winning 3-0.

However, Sport-S faced a significant setback when Hillary Akankunda had to be lifted off the court after landing awkwardly.
