Red Banton would be very rich if the systems were operational – Pallaso comments on singer’s hardships

Pallaso says that Red Banton would not be facing the financial hardships that he is facing if the systems in the country, including the copyright law and enforcement, were operational.

Red Banton recently revealed how he was being threatened with eviction notices from his landlord in the house where his rent costs Ugx400k.

The troubled artist noted that he was facing so many financial hardships and needed help from fellow artists and other well-wishers.

Despite the veteran artist having a rich catalog, his troubles continue to bite.

In an interview, fellow artist Pallaso blamed the poor and non-operational systems in the country for Red Banton’s woes.

In those countries with operational structures. An artist needs just one song to change their life. Uganda has numerous music download blogs/sites. There is one on which I have 38 million downloads, imagine they gave me just Ugx100 per download.

Similarly, Red Banton could have millions of downloads on different sites, but he has never received a cheque from his music royalties. He has so many hits.
