Pom Pom: Sasha Vybz’s creativity highlighted in new visuals featuring Diamond Platnumz, Bruce Melodie
Sasha Vybz, a renowned and celebrated Ugandan film director, is grabbing the headlines again for his creativity in Diamond Platnumz and Bruce Melodie’s new project.
The Savy Films CEO, real name Ian Akankwasa, directed the high-profile music video for “Pom Pom” – a cross-border production shot in Rwanda and Tanzania.
“Pom Pom” brings together two of East Africa’s biggest stars: Bruce Mélodie and Diamond Platnumz.
The ambitious four-day shoot featured over 40 dancers, 10 vixens, a custom-designed metal cage with pyrotechnics, and a fleet of six luxury vehicles, raising the bar for African music video production.
The video is slated for release in two weeks and promises to deliver a visual spectacle.
Sasha Vybz, a graduate of a South African college where he studied alongside award-winning Nigerian director Clarence Peters, continues to cement his reputation as one of Africa’s premier music video directors
He remains a trailblazer in the visual arts scene across the continent.
