Official!! Calvin Echodu Nominated to Contest for NRM Vice Chairperson – Eastern Uganda

In a key development within the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Mr. Calvin Echodu has officially been nominated to run for the position of Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda. The nomination was confirmed today by the NRM Electoral Commission, marking the beginning of an important new chapter in his political career.

Mr. Echodu expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming support he has received, particularly from grassroots communities. He described the nomination as a collective victory and a reflection of the trust that ordinary citizens have placed in his leadership.

“This nomination is not just about me—it’s about the people we serve,” Mr. Echodu said. “I am ready to lead with honesty, listen with humility, and act with purpose. Together, we can build a stronger and more united Eastern Uganda.”

He also took a moment to congratulate NRM Party Chairman and President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for once again offering himself to lead the party and the nation. Mr. Echodu commended the President’s continued commitment to development and progress.

Quoting the late Helen Keller, he added, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” He emphasized that his campaign is rooted in unity, teamwork, and people-driven leadership.
