NRM Delegates in Western Uganda Declare Support for Calvin Echodu’s Vice Chairperson Bid

Calvin Echodu’s campaign for NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda has received a major boost, following endorsements from delegates across five key districts—Kakumiro, Kibaale, Kagadi, Hoima, and Kibuku. The delegates praised his leadership approach, citing his dedication, experience, and people-centered agenda.

At a series of meetings held in Kakumiro NRM House, Star Light Hotel, and URDT Reflection Center, Mr. Echodu presented his vision for the region. He committed to strengthening collaboration within the party and improving service delivery, especially in job creation, education, and community empowerment.

Meeting with delegates from Hoima City, Hoima District, and Kikuube at Hoima Resort Hotel, Mr. Echodu stressed the importance of equal opportunity. He pledged to support children from low-income families in accessing education and to use his international networks to connect Ugandans with global programs through Uganda’s embassies abroad.

Central to Mr. Echodu’s message is unity. He urged NRM members to rise above tribalism, religious divisions, and regionalism, emphasizing that real strength lies in solidarity. He warned against divisive propaganda and encouraged delegates to support leaders who are proven, inclusive, and focused on results.

Drawing from his extensive humanitarian and philanthropic work in the Teso and Karamoja regions, Mr. Echodu promised to champion inclusive development, rooted in the NRM’s values of service, patriotism, and transformation.

His closing message to delegates was clear and consistent:

“Let’s choose leaders who care, who serve, and who unite us. Together, we will build a stronger NRM and a better Uganda.”
