Nakawunde confirms quitting acting to focus on health education

Harriet Nalubwama alias Nakawunde, a former “The Ebonies” actress, has disclosed that she has no plans of joining the Ugandan Film Industry again.

She explains that her major focus is now centered on spreading awareness and teaching the public about good health practices.

I will not be acting again. It’s not that I got tired of acting, but I am a retired general. My focus now is on health.

I am aiming at teaching people about good health habits to keep fit and safe for the rest of their lives, and disease-free.

She further explained that ever since she survived cancer, she decided to pursue a nursing course to educate the world on how to promote proper hygiene and live a better life.

Nakawunde also disclosed that she opted to step aside from acting, citing that it is not profitable and wages are too low noting if it were well paying, organizers wouldn’t need to stage shows weekend after weekend.

Testified about God healing her from cancer. There is no money in Ugandan drama or acting. If there were money, people wouldn’t be doing shows weekend in and out. They would be doing one show and relaxing for about six months.
