Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Makerere University Business School (MUBS) played to a 1-all draw in group F during the 2024-2025 University Football League in Mbarara city on Wednesday, 25th September 2024.
The opening stanza ended barren before Emmanuel Atuhire opened the scoring for MUST in the 50th minute following a howler by goalkeeper Hillary Ayebare.
MUBS brought the game level in the closing moments in the 78th minute through Joe Worrick Mbabazi with Joshua Biyinzika providing the assist.
MUST and two time winners MUBS are joint top in group F with the other team in the pool Muteesa 1 Royal University yet to play.
Tuesday’s contest in Group C between Kabale University and YMCA at the Kabale University sports grounds ended all square.
Meanwhile, the league continues on Thursday, 26th September 2024 in Group E as Uganda Martyrs’ University (UMU) hosts West Nile based Muni University at the Nkozi campus.
