Mukwala and Simba target first continental final since 1993

Caf Confederation Cup 2nd leg
- Stellenbosch vs Simba [0-1] – Moses Mabhida stadium, 4pm
- CS Constantine vs RS Berkane – Stadium, Mohamed Hamlaoui 7pm
Tanzania’s Simba could return to a first continental final for the first time since 1993 if they overcome South Africa’s Stellenbosch at Moses Mabhida stadium, Durban.
Simba lead from the first leg 1-0 courtesy of Jean Charles Ahoua goal that needed confirmation from VAR and need a draw to advance.
In 1993, Simba reached the final of the CAF Cup and lost to Stade Club D’ajame of Ivory Coast over two legs.
It will be a fairytale for the Msimbazi, home to Ugandan international Steven Mukwala coached by South African tactician Davids Fadlu against the more experienced compatriot Steven Baker.
In the other semi-final second leg, Algeria’s CS Constantine face a daunting task against RS Berkane of Morocco who they host in Algeria needing to overturn a 4-0 first leg defeat.
