Mbale Heroes fined, to play two closed door matches over fans’ violence

The Executive Committee of the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) has imposed sanctions to Mbale Heroes Football Club because of fans’ violence.

A club official Tom Etun (head of technical) has been suspended from attending three FUFA organized matches, two Mbale Heroes home matches will be played without fans and a fine of Shs. 500,000 (to be paid with 7 days).

This followed violent incidences that happened between Mbale Heroes home matches at the CRO Sansiro stadium against Busia United (2-1) and Busia Young (0-0).

The ERFA committee convened a meeting at Wash and Wills Hotel in Mbale city on Sunday, January 16, 2022 to deliberate upon the incidences.

The meeting chaired by Isa Musiwa came up with those resolutions meant to help curb violence in matches.
