Mbalangu not giving up yet as NEC host Mbale Heroes

Friday April 25, 2025

  • Lugazi vs Soltilo Bright Stars – Najjembe 4pm
  • Police vs URA – Kavumba 4pm
  • NEC vs Mbale Heroes – Lugogo 7pm

Hussein Mbalangu wants NEC to win all their remaining matches and see what happens starting with the game against Mbale Heroes on Friday.

NEC are second on the log with 51 points, eight points behind run away leaders Vipers who they lost to in the previous game.

“The mood in camp is good,” started Mbalangu when asked by the reporter. “For now, focus is to win all the remaining games and see what happens starting with the one against Mbale Heroes and I call upon all fans to show up and support us,” he added.

The hosts will be favourites against a side at the bottom of the 16-team log and have won just two matches all season.

Gideon Odong joins the Enock Ssebagala on the list of players to miss the clash after he was injured in the defeat to Vipers.

Mbale Heroes’ last visit to Lugogo ended in a 5-0 humiliating defeat to KCCA and will want a better show under the lights on Friday.

Elsewhere, Police host on form URA at Kavumba while Lugazi are at home to Soltilo Bright Stars at Najjembe.
