The upcoming Lira Corporate League for September 2024 edition promises to produce thrilling action at Uganda Technical College (UTC), Lira.

There will be action in football, tug-of-war, arm wrestling, 3×3 for women, this Sunday, 29th September 2024 on the latest outing.

Coming to the September edition, FINCA team leads the 12-team table standings in football with a massive 37 points from 17 matches played.

Nile Breweries Limited (NBL) is second with 33 points, Downtown closely follows with 31 points.

UTC Lira (28), Amuka Development SACCO (26), Zegeans Fitness Club (25), Lango Jlos (24), Prisons (20), Doctorians (16), Gazelles (16), LRRH (15) and Lobos (11) follow suit.

Arm Wrestling table standings

Arm Wrestling season 2024 has two groups; Nile Stout and Castle Lite.

Doctorians lead the Nile Stout group whilst Nile Breweries Limited (NBL) team is in command of the Castle lite group.

Tug-of-war is divided into four pools; Adu, Ona, Kavuma and Amou.

UTC Lira is in charge of the Adu group. Prisons lead the Ona pool, Doctorians leads Kavuma group and Lango JLOS bosses the Amou group.

Besides the sporting action, there is also voluntary blood donation, HIV testing and counselling sessions.

September outing is christened as the “Gazelles month” ridding along the themeline “Empowering progress with lasting impact”.

The Lira Corporate League is celebrating two years of collaboration and growth.
