KCCA Leopards registered a well-deserved 63-46 victory over JT Lady Jaguars in a National Basketball League encounter at YMCA Court on Friday.
Peruth Nyamwenge’s three-point shot at the end of the first quarter helped KCCA Leopards establish a four-point lead, finishing the period at 18-14.
The Lady Jaguars struggled in the second quarter, managing only seven points, which allowed the Leopards to extend their lead to 17 points, 38-21, at halftime.
Mary Priscillar Nambogo’s three-pointer capped off the third quarter, leaving the Lady Jaguars trailing by 18 points at 53-35.
Despite a determined effort from the Jaguars in the final quarter, they ultimately fell to the more experienced Leopards by a margin of 17 points.
Leading the Leopards’ scoring were Susan Rebecca Aanyu with 20 points, followed by Uwineza Ninette and Asinah Kabendela, both contributing 10 points each.
Sarah Ageno scored 18 points, while Maimuna Nabbosa added 10 points for the Lady Jaguars.
