Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) overcame visiting Kitara 2-0 during match day three of the Star Times 2024-2025 Uganda Premier League at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo on Friday, 27th September 2024.

Two first half goals from Saidi Mayanja and Derrick Paul Nsibambi inspired the Kasasiro lads under floodlights.

Mayanja scored the opening goal on 11 minutes, thanks to the spade work of Shafik Nana Kwikiriza.

Nsibambi added on the second goal, a decent finish from an acute angle as the closing moments of the opening stanza came by.

This was KCCA’s second victory in three games, that takes them to 7 points and second on the table standings, two points behind the leaders, NEC.

Kitara sadly fell in their second game of the campaign, as they also lost 1-2 at their new Royals Park in Butema to NEC on match day two.

Earlier on Friday, Wakiso Giants overcame Mbale Heroes 1-0 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in Wakiso.
