Kampala Rockets secured a 70-61 victory against JKL Dolphins in the National Basketball League at YMCA Court in Wandegeya on Wednesday night.

The game began with JKL Dolphins taking an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead by two points at 17-15.

However, Kampala Rockets turned the tide in the second period, with Joseph Wacha scoring a driving layup that helped them gain an eight-point lead by halftime.

The intensity of the game increased after the break, resulting in medical attention being required for two JKL Dolphins players due to bleeding injuries.

Despite JKL Dolphins’ efforts in the third quarter, Kampala Rockets maintained their eight-point lead.

In the final quarter, Wilson Otwenyo made a long shot from beyond the arc, solidifying Kampala Rockets’ nine-point victory.

Brian Opio led the scoring for Kampala Rockets with 19 points, followed by Mpiya Juf with 14 points and Puati Ozias Kikomba with 13 points while only Wilson Otwenyo scored in double digits, finishing with 10 points for the Dolphins
