Kabiramaido’s Edakasi urges citizens to embrace govt programs in fighting household poverty

The outgoing member of parliament for Kaberamaido county in Kaberamaido district Hon.alfred Edakasi Elalu has urged his constituents to support and embrace all the government poverty eradication related programs and projects as a deliberate strategy of overcoming poverty.
The legislator told this website over the weekend during an exclusive interview that the citizens have a duty of embracing all key government economic empowerment programs and projects which is a vehicle of fighting household poverty.
He observed that the people of Kaberamaido have effectively moved in this positive direction of embracing the programs like PDM, EMYOOGA, Women and youth livelihood programs and of recent the GROW project which seeks to boost and empower women already undertaking business ventures
‘We call upon our people of Kaberamaido and Tesoland in general to take advantage of the government programs and projects to fight poverty through active participation such that they can improve on their income basket’ noted Edakasi
He pointed out that services such healthcare, education, road infrastructure among others have been tackled by the government and that it was incumbent upon the locals to utilize the facilities fo the better

Edakasi used the opportunity to appeal to his voters to grant him another term in parliament so that he can effectively complete the many lined up projects which impact positively on his people.
He pledged to continue working closely with the stakeholders in development in the constituency and district in general for the prosperity of the NRM government whose programs should be embraced by all for a brighter future.
