Top Boy MC a.k.a Mic Prince, real name George Trevor Mubiru, a 23-year-old Uganda events emcee and hypeman in the popular city hangouts in Kampala, is organizing the ‘Top Boy Must Shine’ event.
Scheduled for the 3rd of October 2024, the Top Boy Must Shine show has created a buzz among party animals who cannot wait to see what the budding emcee has to showcase at Aura Lounge, Kololo.
The CLM Events Management-signed emcee spoke to us about the event and what to expect:
Tell us more about your show.
The show is dubbed ‘Top Boy Must Shine’. After my unveiling, we had a good run in the game and we had to celebrate the reign of being the best MC in the country.
When is the show and where will it happen?
The show will happen in the first week of next month, on Thursday 3rd October 2024. We have booked Aura Lounge, Kololo and we shall have fun there that day.
Why ‘Top Boy Must Shine’?
Looking at my current state and future in the industry, this is to push the brand further and show the party revelers that emcees are also a different type of personality in the game. MCs need the hype that deejays or other artists get. We all contribute to the success of the music industry.

What did you learn from the first show, The UNVEILING, and what are you bringing into this one?
The first one was my introduction to the commercial world. You can call it business class. The second one is to prove that I am here to stay and go further – to do what my elders didn’t do rightfully.
What can fans expect from the show?
They should expect fun, thrills, and pure performances. They know I’m top like the name says (laughs).
Who else will be performing at the show?
Expect performances from Kampala’s top deejays and emcees, of course, I have to share the shine with my brothers. Eddy Kenzo, Pallaso, Sheila Gashumba, Feffe Bussi, and Mc Kats, among many others, have endorsed this show. It is one you shouldn’t miss.
