Family seeks answers in mysterious demise of 23-year-old woman at Kampala bar

The circumstances surrounding the death of Martha Ahumuza Murari, a 23-year-old woman who collapsed and died at Mezo Noir remain unclear even after her burial. Her sudden death has left her family and friends seeking answers.

Ahumuza Murari reportedly collapsed while out with friends on a Wednesday night and was pronounced dead at Kampala Hospital the following day, Thursday.

However, the exact cause of her death remains a mystery, as the family is still waiting for an official report.

During her funeral, held at Nyarubanga Parish in Kakiika Sub-county, Mbarara District, the grief-stricken family expressed frustration over the lack of clarity surrounding her untimely demise.

We have not yet gotten results from the police. We are still waiting for them. We have not yet known the cause of death, but she had gone to see her friend and fainted from there.

Seth Murali added that when Martha was taken to the hospital, doctors found she had sustained a crack in her skull, which caused bleeding in her brain.

By the time she arrived at the hospital, her condition was critical. Although her heart was still beating, her brain was unresponsive.

We lost our child, our daughter, Martha. She died mysteriously. Very many people die a normal death, but it’s painful for a young girl to die like that. As parents, we are sad about that.
