Diplock Ssegawa set to celebrate 43 years of his hit song, Sooka Omunonye


Veteran musician Diplock Ssegawa has confirmed the dates and venue for his “Sooka Omunonye” concert that is set to happen soon.
He is set to celebrate 43 years of the song that he composed and released in 1982. The event is slated to happen on the 23rd of May at the National Theatre
He adds that this will be the first time he will be performing on stage.
I will be celebrating 43 years of my song ‘Sooka Omunonye’ on May 23rd at the National Theatre. I composed the song in 1982. It will be my first time performing on stage.
Not forgetting, Diplock Ssegawa has so far spent close to 50 years in the music industry and he is still going strong.
Speaking in an interview, he advised artists not to work under pressure of releasing a hit song but urged them to take time to grow and develop their talents.
“Artists shouldn’t be pressured to produce hits—art is like a baby; it needs time to grow and develop.”
