A few weeks ago, Singer, Songwriter, and Producer Andrew Ojambo, publicly known as Daddy Andre, hinted at how he plans to hold a concert where he would charge a gate fee of Shs1m at the entrance.

His subjection was watered down by ex-Fangone Forest rising singer Biswanka when he appeared in an interview and noted that Andre doesn’t command any audience that can pay Shs1m for his concert.

Other individuals also chipped in and added their voices to that of Biswanka some supporting the rising singer whereas others backed up Daddy Andre saying he could set the precedence for other artists to copy.

Daddy Andre maintains that he doesn’t expect to have many revelers turn up for his concert but only those who are financially stable. He notes that he aims to maximize the opportunity and profit from his show.

While responding to Biswanka, the renowned music producer set the record straight by noting that whoever felt upset by his revelation of holding a Shs1m concert gate fee should not turn up for his show.

Daddy Andre is one of the few celebrities in Uganda who doesn’t often appear in public as he tries so hard to create scarcity of his brand so that when shows up at any function he leaves a significant presence.
