Crested Cranes aim for victory against Kenya

The Uganda Women’s Senior National Team, Crested Cranes, seek a win in their third game of the 2025 CECAFA Senior Women’s Championship as they face Kenya.

After a commanding 5-0 victory against South Sudan, Coach Sheryl Botes’ team is eager to maintain their winning streak.

In their opening match of the championship, Uganda suffered a 0-1 defeat to Burundi before a well-deserved victory against South Sudan.

However, Botes is confident that her players are prepared for the upcoming challenge.

“I watched Kenya’s game against Burundi, and I could see the maturity in their team. They are strong on the wings and build their play from the back,” she stated.

“I have faith in our team. We possess the potential and quality needed, so I’m looking forward to the match against Kenya. I believe in possession-based football, and we are teaching our players to play with purpose,” she added.

According to the gaffer, all the players are doing well and are ready for the tough challenge against the Harambe Scarlets.

After scoring three goals against South Sudan, youngster Sylivia Kabene will seek to continue her scoring streak and showcase her immense talent.
