Consumer Business Awards launched, opens voting to recognize leading company brands in Uganda

Consumers of products and services on the Ugandan market have been granted the opportunity to vote for their favorite companies in the Consumer Business Awards, which were launched today, culminating in an award ceremony in August to recognize them for their excellent work.

The Awards, according to the organizers, is designed to celebrate the best performing companies in Uganda under the management of Consumer Publications Limited.

The Chief of Operations at the Consumer Publications Limited, Ms. Alowo Agnes, during the media launch of the Consumer Business Awards held on Friday 25^th April 2025 at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, said that the awards are open to companies of all sizes and industries, while winners will be selected based on direct consumer feedback and independent research.

“We are excited to launch the Consumer Business Awards to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of businesses in Uganda. These awards will provide a platform for companies to showcase their success stories, share their best practices and inspire others to strive for excellence. The entire process will be authenticated by an independent professional auditor for quality assurance,” said

She said that the awards categories to be considered will include manufacturing and industry, foods and beverages, agriculture and agro inputs, energy and electricity, real estate and property management, transport and logistics, among others.

Ms. Alow added that, consumers will vote by an online link available on the website of www.consumerbusinessawards.com as well as all social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, X, Instagram, closing on May 31^st, 2025.

“The step-by-step procedure for voting will start with visiting the website, clicking on the “Vote Now” sign up or login email and name to access the voting platform and then browsing through the categories and submit your vote,” she said

Jamil Alibai from Eye Care Centre, one of the participating companies while applauding the organizers of the awards, called upon consumers to vote them for the quality services they have been rendering to the public for the last 29 years in Uganda.

Other companies that participated in the launch of the awards include: Tyre Express, Sheer Products Limited, Tembo Steel Company, Sumz, Dunlop, among others.
