Bushingtone clarifies artist selection process amid B2C concert controversy

Music producer and events manager Bushingtone has responded to criticism from Green Daddy, who recently accused him of sidelining upcoming artists during the B2C 10-year anniversary concert.

Following the successful event, Green Daddy spoke to media to express his frustration, alleging that Bushingtone deliberately blocked younger or lesser-known artists from sharing the stage during the show.

In a direct response, Bushingtone dismissed the accusations, clarifying that he was simply executing his role as the production manager.

I don’t understand what he meant. Isn’t Aroma a singer? What about Rema? Carol Nantongo? The show was about celebrating 10 years of B2C. That was the whole idea, honoring their journey.

Bushingtone went on to explain the selection process for artists who perform at such events, saying that he doesn’t make those decisions independently.

The artist gives me a list of who they want to perform. If you’re not on that list, it’s hard for me to accommodate you because I didn’t plan for you.

He also offered some pointed advice to Green Daddy:

Let him do his own concert and line up. That way, he can showcase whoever he wants.
