Buhimba United Saints Football Club from Kikuube district currently leads the table standings in the 2024-2025 FUFA Big League.

With 49 points, Buhimba United Saints needs to secure a point from the remaining two matches; first at home against relegation threatened Kigezi Home Boyz this Sunday, and away to Kiyinda Boys on the final day of the season on 21^st June 2025.

Mark Twinamatisko, the head coach of the Buhimba United Saints who came in mid-way to beef up the technical docket that also has veteran Paul Nkata is optimistic.

“It is a game at a time. We were unlucky not to seal promotion away in Ntungamo (against Kaaro Karungi). We have to give it our all in these remaining two matches, but, first against Kigezi Home Boyz” Twinamatisko reveals.

The race for promotion is tight as second placed Calvary has 48 points, Gaddafi is third with 46 points, Blacks Power (45) and Paidha Black Angels on 43 points.

Calvary makes visits Onduparaka in the all West Nile affair in Arua city at the AbaBet Green Light Stadium.

Gaddafi takes on Blacks Power in the winner takes it all to the FUFA Big League.

Meanwhile, Paidha Black Angels  will entertain Kiyinda Boys at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo.

Relegation battle:

The struggle to avoid being dropped to the respective regional league is also aggressively on.

Booma is already relegated, and visit another threathened side, Busoga at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

At the Kongunga primary school playground in Bukedea, MYDA takes on Kaaro Karungi.

Promotion:

Three top clubs will earn direction promotion to the Star Times Uganda Premier League.

Demotion:

Four bottom placed clubs will be relegated to the respective regional leagues.
