Big Story!! Eastern Uganda’s Youth Deserve Mawerere Isaac Doka As Their MP

Young people in Eastern Uganda face many serious challenges. There are few jobs, limited access to quality education, and a lack of leaders who truly understand or care about their problems. In the middle of this struggle, Mawerere Isaac Doka has stepped forward. He is running for Youth Member of Parliament for Eastern Uganda, and he is determined to bring real change and hope to the young generation.

Mawerere is not a leader who only appears during elections. He has been with the youth, listening to them, encouraging them, and working with them to find solutions. He knows what it means to be unemployed, to struggle for education, and to feel forgotten by those in power. His goal is not just to win a seat in Parliament, but to serve. For him, leadership is about purpose—not power.

His life story shows how far hard work and determination can take someone. Mawerere started school at Bupadhengo Primary School in Kamuli District. He continued his studies at Merryland High School for O-Level and Hilton High School in Mukono for A-Level. He later graduated from Makerere University with a degree in Community Psychology and Mental Health.

Outside academics, Mawerere has proven himself as a successful young businessman and farmer. He is the Managing Director of Miles Funeral Services and runs a farm where he rears goats and cows and grows coffee. Through this, he shows that agriculture can be a practical solution to youth unemployment. He believes young people should be supported to earn a living through farming and small businesses.

Mawerere has also worked in government. From 2022 to 2023, he served as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of Uganda Railways. He left that high-level job voluntarily to focus on youth leadership and community development. Even earlier, in 2019, he wanted to run for Guild President at Makerere University. Although COVID-19 stopped that election, his dream to serve never died.

What makes Mawerere different from other candidates is that he has a clear and honest plan. He wants to improve education, support youth-led businesses, create jobs, and promote honest leadership. These are not just ideas written in a manifesto—these are issues he is already working on. He believes the youth need leaders who speak less and act more.

Young people in Eastern Uganda see themselves in Mawerere. He is not perfect, but he is real. He understands their hopes, their fears, and their daily struggles. He communicates in a way that connects with them and gives them confidence. Most of all, he believes that young people are not just the future of Uganda—they are the present, and they should be leading today.

Now that he is officially in the race, Mawerere is calling on the youth to come together. He wants to unite young people across Eastern Uganda and show that with the right leadership, anything is possible. He believes that when young people are empowered, they can transform their lives and their country.

If you are a young person in Eastern Uganda and you are looking for a leader who listens, understands, and works for you, Mawerere Isaac Doka is the right choice. He has walked your journey, and he is ready to lead you into a brighter future.

The time for youth leadership is now. Let’s support Mawerere Isaac Doka and build the future together.
