Benon Mugumbya reveals emotional impact of Irene Ntale’s departure
Swangz Avenue co-founder Benon Mugumbya has discussed the emotional toll that Irene Ntale’s departure took on the team, revealing that her exit left them deeply hurt.
Irene Ntale parted ways with Swangz Avenue in 2017, after a successful four-year stint with the record label. 
Although she transitioned into an independent artist, the reasons behind her departure have remained largely unclear.
While Ntale has hinted at underlying issues, she has never publicly delved into the specifics.
During an appearance on The Deep Talk With Mr Henrie, Benon expressed his continued disappointment over Ntale’s decision to leave, admitting that the label never fully understood her reasons.
We were very hurt when Ntale left us because she is very talented. I still believe she is one of the most talented female Ugandan artists.
It was painful because we didn’t know her reasons for leaving. Up to now, we have never known why she left. I wish things played out differently.
